TUVYT ("we", "our", "us"), a technology product operated by FUERZAFORGE Technologies Limited, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in full compliance with the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), LATRA Regulatory Guidelines, and international digital storefront policies including Google Play Developer Terms and Apple App Store Review Guidelines.
When you download, install, register, or use the TUVYT Hailing Application, we collect specific categories of personal information strictly necessary to provide safe, reliable, and verified multi-modal ride-hailing, cargo haulage, chaperone, and FuerzaPay payment services:
- Personal Identification Data: Full Name, Username, Profile Photograph, and Preferred Language settings.
- Contact Details: Verified Mobile Phone Numbers (validated via SMS OTP) and Email Addresses.
- Location Data: Real-time precise device GPS coordinates (for passenger pickup matching, trip navigation, and driver location tracking during active rides).
- Verification Documents: Government-issued identity documents (NIDA ID, Passport, Voter Card), Driver's License scans, LATRA registration certificates, Police Clearance documents, Vehicle Registration Cards (Logbook), and Medical/Health Examination Clearances.
- Financial & Transaction Data: FuerzaPay wallet IDs, mobile money payment logs (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, HaloPesa), ride fare breakdown, and transaction timestamps.
Verification Documents & Driver Identity
To guarantee public safety, prevent passenger impersonation, and comply with statutory transport regulations across Dar es Salaam, Manyara (Mbulu), Arusha, and all regions of operation in Tanzania, TUVYT mandates strict background verification:
Key Documents Uploaded for Verification:
- Rider/Passenger Accounts: Mobile phone number, full name, and email address for digital ride receipts and SOS alerts.
- Driver, Captain & Chaperone Accounts: Driver's License, Vehicle Insurance, LATRA Commercial Operating Permit, Local Government Identification, Police Clearance, and Medical Examination Certificates.
All verification documents are uploaded securely from the mobile application over encrypted HTTPS/TLS protocols directly to our dedicated administrative cloud infrastructure.
Secured Admin Review & Approval Process
User data, driver credentials, and uploaded verification documents are not publicly exposed or shared with unverified third parties. All uploaded files are routed to our secure, password-protected Administrative Dashboard for manual compliance review:
- Password & Key Encryption: Our administrative platform utilizes multi-factor authentication (MFA), role-based access control (RBAC), and 256-bit AES database encryption to protect user profiles.
- Authorized Compliance Reviewers: Only authorized FUERZAFORGE compliance officers possess credentialed access to evaluate driver documents and issue account approvals.
- Approval Workflow: Once verified, the driver or chaperone account is activated on the TUVYT network. If rejected due to invalid or expired documentation, the user is notified via email and SMS with remediation instructions.
How We Use & Share Your Data
We use your collected data strictly for operational, safety, and legal necessity. We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal data or uploaded documents to third-party advertisers.
Operational Use
Matching passengers with nearest available drivers, calculating dynamic route distance fares, dispatching cargo, and processing FuerzaPay payouts.
Legal & Regulatory Sharing
Disclosing driver credentials or trip logs to LATRA, Law Enforcement, or Emergency Response Services strictly upon official legal request.
Data Security & Retention Measures
We maintain technical and organizational safeguards including HTTPS encrypted data transmission, isolated VPS server environments in secure data centers, routine vulnerability assessments, and restricted database permissions to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
Account Deletion & Alternative Request Options
In accordance with Google Play Store Account Deletion requirements, TUVYT provides all registered users (Riders, Captains, Drivers, Chaperones, and Merchants) with a direct, hassle-free mechanism to request the permanent deletion of their account and associated personal data.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account:
• Your user profile, username, email, phone number, and uploaded verification documents will be permanently purged from our active administrative database.
• Financial transaction histories required under Tanzanian tax and legal retention statutes will be archived securely for the statutory period before automatic deletion.
