FuerzaPay is an integrated digital wallet that supports zero-fee top-ups via M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, HaloPesa, and the FuerzaPay API. It enables tap payments and instant payout settlements for drivers. Drivers can also top up their wallets with a deposit to unlock access to cash rides, with the applicable deposit deducted from their wallet balance. To promote financial sustainability and reduce transaction costs, a minimum withdrawal amount applies, helping drivers save more on withdrawal fees while receiving eligible withdrawals instantly.

1. Choose your payment method: Deposit funds into your FuerzaPay wallet before the trip to pay by wallet, or use another payment method supported by the service.

3. Choose a ride category: Select Motorbike, 3-Wheeler, Taxi (4-Seater), Taxi XL (6-Seater), or Chaperones, where available.
4. Submit your request: Review your trip details and submit the ride request.
5. Wait for driver acceptance: Wait for a suitable driver to accept your request.
6. Travel to your destination: Meet your driver at the pickup point and proceed to your destination.

Looking for a return journey or a suitable backhaul match? Post your request with your journey details and wait for a suitable match. Review the proposed match and confirm it before proceeding with the arrangement.

5. Visitor Mode

Use Visitor Mode to discover registered businesses and access convenient request shortcuts that direct you to the specific business you want to visit or contact.

You can also register your own business in Visitor Mode, making it easier for customers to discover your business, access its details, and connect with you.

TUVYT helps you hire a Chaperone or Travel Buddy for personal assistance, activities, shopping, and travel. Follow these steps to request a suitable service and prepare for a safer experience.

How to Hire a Chaperone or Travel Buddy

1. Open the Chaperone category: In the TUVYT mobile app, navigate to the Chaperones section.
2. Choose your support mode: Select the service you need, such as Gym & Exercise, Market Shopping, or City Travel, where available.
3. Specify your requirements: Enter the required duration, meeting point, destination, and other relevant details requested by the app.
4. Review the service provider: Check the available profile information, ratings, service details, and verification status where available. Make sure the provider and service meet your needs.
5. Submit your request: Review your details and submit your request for a suitable Chaperone or Travel Buddy.
6. Wait for acceptance: Wait for an available provider to accept your request. Confirm the arrangements before proceeding.
7. Meet and begin the service: Meet at the agreed pickup point, confirm that the person and service match your booking, and follow your agreed itinerary.
8. Complete payment: Pay through your FuerzaPay wallet or another payment method supported by the service. Confirm the agreed fare or service charges before the service begins.
9. Rate your experience: Provide feedback after the service and report any concerns through the available reporting channels.

Drivers can download the TUVYT Captain App, upload a valid driver's license, vehicle registration documents, national identification, and complete a quick background verification.

Available LATRA fare rules can be used as a pricing reference, with applicable discounts and configurable pricing options to give passengers greater flexibility when choosing a service.

1. Equity Pricing

Equity pricing calculates fares primarily according to distance travelled and the applicable tariff. It supports the following options:

• Predefined: Used when the pickup and destination are known and the fare can be determined in advance. Continuous location tracking may not be necessary for fare calculation once the fare is established.
• Metered: Calculates the fare according to the actual distance travelled using available location and distance data. The fare may increase as the journey progresses. A predefined fare may be used as a fallback where applicable.
• Request: Allows passengers to request additional journey arrangements, such as waiting, pausing, or changing the destination. Applicable additional charges are subject to the pricing rules and required driver confirmation.

2. Fair Pricing

Fair pricing uses predefined fares for specific distance ranges. The applicable price is determined by the distance band into which the journey falls. Where configured, discounted fares can give passengers more affordable options while using the available LATRA fare rules as a reference.

3. Passenger Choice and Discounts

TUVYT allows passengers to choose from the pricing options available for their selected service. Depending on the service and its configuration, these options may include applicable LATRA-based fares, discounted prices, and other available fare choices.

4. Driver Price Suggestions and Multiple Options

Drivers can submit a suggested price for a journey where this feature is supported. A suggested price is not automatically confirmed: the passenger must review and accept the proposed price before it becomes an agreed fare.

Drivers can also offer multiple pricing options to give passengers a choice between available fares. Passengers can compare the presented options and confirm their preferred price before proceeding with the journey. Any selected price remains subject to applicable fare rules and service conditions.

5. Private Hire Pricing

Private Hire is designed for longer journeys, group transport, special hire, and bookings requiring a dedicated vehicle. The price may depend on the selected vehicle, seating capacity, journey distance, hire duration, and applicable service costs.

Depending on the booking arrangement, pricing may use an agreed hire price or a calculated quotation that includes applicable expenses such as fuel, driver services, conductor services, and other approved costs. Review and confirm the quotation before proceeding.

6. Route-Based Transport Pricing

For commuter transport, trains, and regional buses, fares depend on the selected route, destination, and applicable operator tariff. Select your route and destination, review the available fare and booking details, and complete your booking according to the instructions provided.
